My passion for all things boating started when I had my first taste of sailing at just 5 years old. My Dad moved to Derby in the 80's. However, having grown up in Plymouth, he found himself land locked, but with the urge to get afloat still! Dad joined Staunton Harold Sailing Club in 1993 and it wasn't long before I was taken for my first sail in a Mirror Dinghy. 

By the age of seven I was well underway with my sailing career, and also given a Topper as a birthday present. This allowed me to regularly sail at the Junior Squad weekends (which i'm pleased to say still run to this day!)

A lot has happened since my early days of boating. My passion has taken me all over the world, including working in Turkey and Greece, as well as now regularly finding myself in commercial centres across the South Coast, Sailing clubs across the Midlands and South Central, working on bespoke training delivery for commercial clients such as the  Legoland Windsor resort, or carrying our annual RYA Inspections for both UK and Overseas centres.

As an RYA appointment holder for Dinghy, Powerboat and Personal Watercraft, I am able to deliver Instructor Training for all 3 of these schemes. I also spend a lot of time delivering instructor/club development sessions too.
